The Advanced Meter Infrastructure Systems Support team is looking for a student intern to be a part of a of customer facing technology team. This team works together with clients, vendors, and other internal SRP groups to maintain highly available, critical metering applications and integrations. The supported applications communicate with meters at SRP customer’s homes and businesses as well as with internal data and billing systems. They support both credit and prepay rates as well as provide remote meter functionality and meter data to client applications for customer orders, billing, customer presentment, reporting and troubleshooting. The student intern will work daily scheduled hours based on the department’s needs, with a minimum requirement of 15 hours and up to 29.5 hours per week maximum.

College level coursework (100 ) from an accredited institution will be evaluated on an individual basis according to the skill/level to determine if applicable to the position by management.
Hybrid Workplace
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona. - Assist in troubleshooting issues for metering systems
- Write and execute test plans
- Communicate and collaborate with internal IT and business groups
- Write documentation for metering processes
- Write SQL queries and reports to provide data to business groups
- Understanding of Windows and Linux administration
- Troubleshooting experience with applications, database, servers, and network
- Writing technical documentation
- PowerShell
- Analytic tools including SQL Server Reporting Services, Tableau and PowerBI
- AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) system knowledge
- Oracle and SQL database and query knowledge
- Kafka Messaging
