Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Barback to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will support bartenders by ensuring the bar is well-stocked, clean, and organized, while also providing excellent customer service. This role is essential in maintaining the efficiency of bar operations and enhancing the overall guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist bartenders in preparing drinks and serving customers promptly.
- Stock and replenish bar supplies, including liquor, mixers, garnishes, and glassware.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area by cleaning spills, washing glassware, and disposing of waste.
- Buss tables and assist with clearing dishes to keep the bar area tidy.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using a cash register or POS system.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy shifts.
- Adhere to food handling and safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for staff and guests.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and experience using cash registers or POS systems is advantageous.
