Key Functional Areas of Responsibility

  • Develop landing page templates for PPC advertising campaigns.
  • Audit new clients’ existing tracking configurations for issues & best practice gaps.
  • Confidently communicate tracking recommendations to clients.
  • Implement page view, event, and conversion tracking in Google Tag Manager.
  • Implement website changes in support of technical SEO, based on recommendations from the SEO team.
  • Configure call tracking (e.g. CallRail) for client websites and ads.
  • Maintain existing clients’ tracking configurations in Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and Google / Bing / LinkedIn / Meta Ads.
  • Troubleshoot and fix any marketing attribution data issues in Google Analytics.
  • Embed tracking codes on client websites on platforms like Wordpress, Shopify, Hubspot, etc.
  • Create and update one-off client reporting dashboards in Google Looker Studio.
  • Create one-off reports for clients and our internal team in Google Sheets when necessary to support custom client requests.
  • Keep pace with web analytics & tracking industry trends and developments.
  • Work closely with the other team members to ensure that all client tracking and reporting needs are supported.
  • Provide technical support and feedback to the SEO and PPC teams.

Professional Competencies, Skills, & Qualifications

  • Experience working in an agency setting.
  • Proficiency with Google Tag Manager.
  • Familiarity with Google, Bing, Meta, and LinkedIn Ads tracking scripts.
  • Familiarity with React.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven atmosphere.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively articulate thoughts and points.
  • Ability to learn new industries and new business types quickly and can apply this knowledge to internet marketing initiatives and achieving client goals.
  • High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, project management, and time management skills.
