Job Description: SaltBrush Restaurant is seeking an assistant manager/junior sommelier to join our front of house team. The assistant manager will play a vital role in the execution of our mission to deliver exceptional service to our guests. We are looking for individuals with a great attitude, a passion for hospitality, and a willingness to learn and grow within our team. We encourage you to apply if you have experience as a lead server, assistant manager or wine steward and are eager to grow your experience with a great company. Responsibilities:
- Embrace a culture of continuous learning and skill development, and a love of genuine hospitality
- Provide support to the service team to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Provide knowledgable food and wine recommendations to guests
- Be willing to get your hands dirty and work alongside the team. We are a hands on and present management team and require a "can do" attitude. None of us are above any job in the restaurant!
- Perform opening and closing side work duties thoroughly and conscientiously
- Contribute to the overall cleanliness and appearance of the dining room
- Provide some administrative support to the management team
Requirements:
- Current TIPS certification
- Previous experience working as a lead server, sommelier or assistant manager in a high-volume restaurant, wine/cocktail bar or winery setting preferred
- Strong passion for hospitality with a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
