JOB SUMMARY

This position's primary responsibility is to build and maintain clients for events and activations in multiple locations within Saluhall. The position will also oversee all event & activation planning, details and assist in final execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Handle all incoming event inquiries; must ensure follow up on the same business day

  • Coordinate all administrative event details with client from inquiry to close including negotiating, executing proposals, contracts, credit card authorization forms, developing floor plans, and post event follow-up

  • Coordinate all logistical event & activation details from planning to execution, including site inspections, tastings, vendor meetings, and day-of onsite client contact

  • Coordinate with Operations Team to ensure seamless execution of event

  • Act as primary onsite contact to client at events & activations; must be able to monitor the progress of the event and deal with diversions and uncertainties immediately, and must be able to perform well under pressure

  • Build and maintain client database to ensure repeat business by providing excellent guest service

  • Establish key relationships with new corporate clients, high profile fashion houses, media, and destination management companies

  • Consistently brainstorm and implement new marketing ideas to build business

  • Develop long-term event strategies that demonstrate continued evolution. To include, but not limited to, conducting industry research to identify new event opportunities and maintaining knowledge on local competitors

  • Solicit and promote special event business through advertising, cold-calling, contacting past customers, relationships with local businesses and other cost-effective activities.

  • Develop and maintain an updated and detailed price sheet of all billable products and services that accurately reflects today’s costs and the company’s profit objectives.


REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
  • Proven experience as event manager and driving a common business objective
  • Skilled in project management
  • Knowledge of KPIs and marketing techniques for event management
  • Computer savvy; proficient in MS Office & Google Suite
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation ability
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • A knack for problem-solving
  • Customer-service orientation
  • A team player with leadership skills
  • BSc/BA in PR, marketing, hospitality management or related field is preferred

  • Ability to handle stressful situations and be able to prevent and/or handle emergency situations
  • A cheerful, positive attitude when working with a variety of people, and be able to work well under pressure. To provide a courteous and professional service
  • Responsible, neat and clean in appearance
  • Strong communication skills with supervisors and employees
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English. Bi-lingual is a plus.


PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:

  • Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderated and controlled by facility environmental systems
  • Able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for an extended period of time
  • Able to lift up to 25lbs. and on a regular and continuing basis
  • Able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, twist, walk, crouch, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks
  • Manual dexterity required to use and operate all necessary equipment
  • Talking, hearing and seeing (vision) occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, Supervisors and other Employees
  • Has an open and flexible availability as schedules may change based on business demand


Compensation range: $100,000 Annually W2. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
