What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intake Specialist Pool position at SalusCare, Inc?
This position serves as the initial contact for individuals entering the Emergency Services department. The professional and compassionate treatment of all individuals served is of the utmost importance. Attention to safety is vital at all times. Intake Specialists operate as part of team and communicate in a clear, calm and positive manner with all stakeholders.
Greets and effectively provides intake triage of individuals presenting at the Emergency Services department.
Meets with individuals to courteously take possession of all personal items upon entry into Emergency Services (ES) department; meticulously makes a written inventory of the individual’s secured items in accordance with Agency policy, and safely stores the personal items in a manner consistent with Agency procedure.
Accurately obtains and records vital signs of persons entering ES department. Demonstrates proficiency in obtaining vital signs.
Duties and Responsibilities in Relation to Individuals Calling the Emergency Services Telephones.
Duties and Responsibilities in Relation to the Agency’s Electronic Record.
Duties and Responsibilities in Relation to General Operations of the Emergency Services Dept.
Requires a High School diploma/equivalent. Prefer One (1) year direct-care experience in a behavioral health, human services, corrections, mental health or related field OR The successful completion of the equivalent of 30 semester/credit hours towards an undergraduate degree in health, behavioral health, human services or a related field, but this is not required.
Requires the ability to type 25 CWPM and knowledge of basic computer software programs. Must be able to attain competency with company electronic health record and use it effectively within required timeframes.
