As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced NOC Technician to join our team and drive our relationships with hyperscale clients to new heights.
NOC Technician :
The NOC Technician will be responsible for monitoring customer and facility-related tickets to ensure they are handled in a timely and efficient manner. The technician will also be responsible for answering a high volume of inbound calls in a timely manner and needs to be able to identify caller’s needs by clarifying information and doing research to provide the appropriate solutions.
Duties :
- Employee will utilize tools provided to manage and monitor customer, vendor, and security tickets
- Process outbound and inbound calls, adhering to all policy standards
- Create reports and other documentation
- Provide support in relation to security, data center infrastructure, and NOC operations
- Availability to work different hours as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Willingness to communicate and work in a team environment while maintaining the ability to be self-drivenHigh level of knowledge and understanding of critical environments within the data center a plusAble to manage critical events while working in group setting and having the ability to multi taskProficient knowledge of Windows operating system and Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, and OutlookPrior call center experience a plusStrong written and oral communicationAbility to work in an environment that operates 24 / 7 with an ability to participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as neededAble to lift 40lbs and or work in elevated locationsPhysical Requirements :
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs.Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipmentAbility to stand for long periods of time in various work environmentsAbility to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasksBasic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quicklyAbility to move quickly and efficiently withing various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies.Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectorsClear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glassesAbility to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cablesAbility to work in environments with a wide variety temperature inside a facilityAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snowCapability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protectionPossession of a valid driver’s license for work-related travel, as requiredEducation / Experience :
High School Diploma / GEDCertification of training in the IT or Data Centers fields is requiredMinimum of 1-2 years of experience working within a Data Center or IT environmentTravel :
