Salvage Indy Company is seeking an experienced retail sales associate to join our warehouse team in bring liquidated deals on furniture and home decor to our Indianapolis customers! The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping customers and must have some experience either in staging/merchandising or a strong home decorating background. As a merchandiser/sales associate, you will be responsible for processing transactions accurately and efficiently while enhancing the overall shopping experience for our customers.
Note: this is a furniture store in a warehouse location. We sell furniture and home decor to our customers who LOVE our store.
**Note about Scheduling: Our warehouse hours full time hours are Tuesday-Saturday 9-5. Please apply only if this schedule works for you.
**Responsibilities:**
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service throughout the transaction process
- Process sales transactions accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Keep the store clean and safe to walk though
- Promote special offers or discounts to customers
- Collaborate with the sales team to meet and exceed customer expectations
**Skills:**
- Experience in furniture staging and decor
- Proficiency in basic math for transaction processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with diverse customer needs
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of technical sales is a plus
