Summary

Manufacturing of new punch tooling for our S4 and S2 Salvagnini equipment.

Tooling is manufactured with close tolerances of /- 0.0004”. The ability to measure and determine tooling accuracy is required. You will work closely with the 1st and 3nd shifts to manufacture and close customer orders.

Some equipment setup will be required to manufacture various tooling types. Some light mechanical repair of the machinery will be required, such as air leaks, hydraulic leaks, coolant leaks, etc. Equipment basic preventative maintenance will be required when due, such as filter changes, cleaning up the machinery, etc.

Extended training for this position will last approximately 10 to 12 weeks. Training will be conducted from 4:00am – 12:00pm Monday – Friday, then primary shift after training is Monday through Thursday 12:00 pm – 10:00pm Some occasional overtime is required on Saturdays and through the week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

· Interpret internal work orders for punch tooling created for our customers

· Read and interpret customer and company created mechanical 2D tooling drawings.

· Use precision measuring tools, calipers, micrometer & dial indicator, to 0.0001” or 0.025mm.

· Basic computer experience, Outlook Email, Excel, Word.

· Ability to work well with others.

· Good communication skills.

· Good math skills

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

· Experience:

o General Machining Techniques

o Good mechanical aptitude and use of basic mechanical hand tools.

· CNC Experience

o General CNC machine operation and setup experience

· Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner as well as skillfully gather and analyze information

· Strong eye for detail and maintaining exacting standards.

· Effectively work with others, sound verbal communication and interpersonal relationship skills.

Desirable Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

· Proficiency in 2D CAD, AutoCAD preferred

o CNC O.D. Grinder Programming and Operation

o Wire EDM Equipment Programming and Operation

o Sinker EDM Equipment Programming and Operation
