San Fran Harbor LightSan Francisco, CA 941034405, USADescription OVERVIEW : The Salvation Army Harbor Light Center – Harbor House Family Emergency Shelter Director is responsible to the Executive Director and Business Administrator for supervision and operational management of administrative and program functions for the Harbor House Family Emergency Shelter.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Supervise all staff at Harbor HouseOversee all aspects of management and administration of the shelter departmentMaintain a compliance manual in accordance to The Salvation Army Policy & Procedures for Social Service ProgramsPrepare schedules, time off requests, time records, and evaluate employee performancesAttend weekly Director meetings in planning and implementing services on campusAssist in the hiring processManage requisitions and office supplies inventory for Harbor HouseSubmit weekly and monthly statistical reportsPerform regular site supervision of Harbor House Resident facility areasWork with Facilities Manager to oversee janitorial staffResponsible for consistent program management and updating policies, procedures, and operations manuals for Harbor House Program(s)Responsible for the adherence to requirements of any contract(s) at Harbor HouseReview and approve file maintenance system for case management filesOversee and provide supervision of case management and care coordinationMaintain a safe environment for the health and well-being of all clients and personnel at Harbor HouseAddress any grievances or issues filed by clientsOversee the therapeutic, clinical, and program needs of Harbor House program participantsCoordinate with the Executive Director, Business Admin, and / or Assistant Corps Officer for development of programs and to update goals and expected outcomesParticipate in acquiring new and renewals of grants and contractsAttend monthly Harbor Light Center Advisory Council meetingsManage the re-credentialing and contract renewal process with all funding sources for Harbor HouseOutreach and network with other agencies to build a referral base as needed for program servicesPrepare the submission of reports and backup materials as they relate to government, state or private grants, and foundation requirementsAttend community meetings and activitiesEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE : Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related (required)CA driver's license (required)Master’s Degree in Social Work or related (preferred)Experience overseeing case management staff (2 years required)Experience working with federal, state, and local contractsExperience in a shelter or residential treatment center (preferred)TB clearance (within the first seven days of employment – company provided)First Aid and CPR certification (within first fourteen days of employment – company provided)SKILLS AND ABILITIES : Knowledge of Microsoft programsStrong organizational skillsAbility to work with a diverse backgroundAbility to leadTeam PlayerPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.EQUIPMENT USED : Modern Office Equipment and Relevant SoftwareADA Statement : Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
