What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at Salz Management LLC?
Position Description and Responsibilities:
- Purchase ledger posting, payments and reconciling statements.
- Maintaining accounts payable.
- Create and maintain accounting-related spreadsheets.
- Review to ensure each transaction is categorized into the proper account and provide detail.
- Tie the gross check amount to the spreadsheet detail in Dropbox for the reports.
- Discuss any discrepancies with the Financial Controller.
- Research transactions as needed (PPP, tax items, etc.)
- Maintains records of financial transactions by monitoring accounts.
- Maintains historical records by filing documents.
- Filling monthly sales tax returns.
- Ensure monthly processing deadlines are met as required
- Assist with all other financial tasks as required including budgeting, forecasting etc.
- Providing adhoc reporting as and when requested.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other related fields, or sufficient combination of education and experience
- A minimum of 2 years of proven work experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting
- Ability to provide detailed level bookkeeping support – accounts payable, accounts receivable, closing books on a monthly basis and preparing financial reporting and analysis
- Proficient in QuickBooks
