Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION: The responsibilities of the accountant are preparing weekly payroll, post journal entries, analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts, and assist with the month end closing process.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including, but not limited to:

• month and end-year process
• cash receipts
• general ledger
• payroll
• revenue and expenditure variance analysis
• capital assets reconciliations
• check runs
• fixed asset activity
• Assist with annual audits
• Meet financial accounting objectives
• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend, stoop, sit, grasp with hands, feel texture with fingers, reach for items, cling, walk, twist, stand, and work at a desk for up to ten (10) hours per day up to six (6) days per week
• Ability to work inside of the office or inside of the production facility
• Ability to see clearly with eyes to operate a computer and handle written communication via email and other items
• Ability to hear audibly with ears to communicate conversations via telephone and in person

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles 5 year's experience
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• BS degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, but not required
• Business Central experience a Plus

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• A bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• One to three years of accounting experience
• Must have the knowledge of accounting concepts and procedures and the ability to apply them to daily activities
• Excellent communication skills
