JOB DESCRIPTION: The position requires you to be able to take prints and fabricate products from them. Requires someone to be very proficient with tape measures, squares, protractors, etc. This position requires someone that is considered highly skilled with a background in welding and can work with minimum supervision. They are able to fit various types of products together. This job requires a person to have good team working skills.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret drawings
• Assemble and tack-weld parts as required by drawings
• Square, level, or plumb parts to ensure proper alignment
• Use jigs and fixtures when available
• Troubleshoot problems as they may arise
• Manipulate materials with jib cranes and bridge cranes
• Work from a priority system
• Follow safety rules
• Be organized and keep necessary documents and prints updated with any changes.
• Demonstrates ability in reading prints and drawings
• Able to accurately read a tape measure to 1/16”
• Working knowledge of welding and welding techniques

Environment & Working Conditions:

• Able to endure climate changes (hot and cold)

Physical Demands:

• Able to lift 25lbs unassisted
• Able to bend stoop, and climb
• Able to work while standing on concrete for up to 12 hours a day

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Demonstrates ability in reading prints and drawings
• Able to accurately read tape measure to a 1/16” increments
• Demonstrates basic math skills in add, subtract, divide, and multiply fractions and decimals
• Must be able to pass the provided weld test
• Ability to work with basic hand tools
• Able to read and write
