Nature & Purpose of Position
This position's duties include :
- Presenting an introduction to the physics and techniques of the laboratory at the start of each lab.
- Observing student progress, offering assistance and encouragement as needed.
- Keeping records of student attendance.
- Collecting pre-lab work at the start of lab and post-lab reports at the end of the lab period.
- Replying quickly and effectively to emails from students.
- Grading all assignments.
- Turning in grades to instructors in a timely manner.
Other Requirements for the Position
Student lab assistants must have completed PHYS 1403 and PHYS 1404 and received a B or higher to be considered for this position.
