Duties:
- Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations. This includes wrapping lemons, cutting chips, portioning fries, and stocking any item that needs to be stocked for each station at the beginning of the shift
- Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers, and salads.
- Plating prepared foods based on senior chef’s guidance
- Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time
- Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts
- Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations
- Closing the kitchen in accordance with guideline sheets.
Requirements:
- Reliable transportation and ability to consistently be on time and not call out
- Proven experience as a Chef or similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
