Your Impact at SAM
Lead a survey crew in the field for boundary, topographic, and construction layout surveys.
Set up and run survey equipment to collect accurate data.
Read and understand construction plans and survey specs.
Work directly with project managers, engineers, and other team members.
Solve problems and keep the job moving
Keep clear and accurate field notes and reports.
Take care of the survey truck and equipment.
Follow all safety rules.
Other duties as needed.
What You Bring to SAM
5 years of experience in land surveying (crew chief experience is a plus).
Valid driver’s license.
Experience using survey equipment (robotic total stations, GPS/GNSS, laser scanners, levels, tablet PCs, etc.). Trimble experience is a plus.
Basic computer and math skills.
Good communication skills.
Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team.
Able to work outdoors in all weather and lift up to 80 lbs.
Willing to travel and stay out of town when needed.
