Retail Customer Service/Cashier

Location: 812 Matzinger Road, Toledo, OH 43612
Starting Pay: $11.00 per hour to start

Job Summary:

Sam’s Travel Center is looking for a dependable and customer-focused Retail Customer Service/Cashier to join our team full-time. This position involves providing excellent customer service, handling transactions efficiently, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and assist with purchases in a friendly manner
• Operate the cash register, process payments, and give accurate change
• Handle cash, credit, and mobile payment transactions securely
• Stock shelves, coolers, and store displays as needed
• Maintain store cleanliness, including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal
• Monitor fuel pumps and assist customers with basic fueling inquiries
• Follow company policies for age-restricted sales (tobacco, alcohol, lottery, etc.)
• Ensure safety procedures are followed, including emergency protocols

Qualifications & Skills:

• Must be over 18 years of age
• Previous cashier or retail experience preferred but not required
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Dependability and punctuality are essential
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs

Work Schedule:

• Full-time shifts available, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $11.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week

Shift:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Night shift

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

• Toledo, OH 43612: Relocate before starting work (Required)
