Job Overview
The Concrete Field Trainer is responsible for delivering hands-on training and support to employees in the field, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform concrete-related tasks safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards. The role involves training franchisees on concrete mix designs, pouring and finishing techniques, planning and organizing tools, and proper use of marketing tools. The Concrete Field Trainer works closely with supervisors and Franchisees to improve productivity and quality while fostering a culture of safety. Fun Job if you like training and some travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Field Training and Development:
- Provide practical, on-the-job training to new franchisees in all aspects of concrete work, including mixing, pouring, finishing, and curing techniques including business planning and technology.
- Ensure proper training in marketing tools and business operation..
- Demonstrate best practices for generating leads and completing proposals using our CRM.
- Provide guidance on surface preparation, formwork installation, and other pre-pour activities.
- Classroom and field training duties monthly.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate training records for all employees, documenting the skills and competencies achieved.
- Provide regular progress reports to supervisors and managers on performance and areas for improvement.
- Assist in identifying skill gaps and recommend additional training or certification programs.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Work with the management team to evaluate and improve the concrete training program.
- Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices related to concrete operations.
- Offer feedback and suggestions to enhance team performance, concrete quality, and operational efficiency.
- Customer Relations (when applicable):
- Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients or construction site personnel.
- Provide guidance to ensure that concrete work meets client specifications and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Preferred 1 years of experience in concrete construction or related field, with a strong focus on field operations.
- Experience in training or mentoring is preferred.
- Certification in concrete-related skills (e.g., ACI certification) is a plus. Available after hire if needed.
- Skills and Knowledge:
- Preferred knowledge of concrete materials, mixing ratios, pouring methods, curing techniques, and finishing practices but we can train for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with industry-specific safety standards (e.g., OSHA regulations).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for training and motivating people.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient with common construction tools and equipment.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in outdoor, potentially harsh weather conditions.
- Capability to lift heavy materials and equipment (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for long periods.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with occasional overtime, especially during peak project times.
- Travel required to various job sites across the region. 35% travel.
- Hybrid travel and remote duties.
