Your Impact at SAM
As a Senior Geomatics Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting office and field staff by processing incoming information and producing final land surveying project deliverables.
You will report to the Project Manager and perform technical tasks utilizing the latest technology in the A/E/C industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Project Manager to ensure project requirements are met in the office and the field.
- Process field data and perform initial CAD work on land survey deliverables.
- Provide quality control assistance for client-specific deliverables.
- Monitor field crew production and quality assurance.
- Train field and office staff in best practices and standards.
- Provide field support for land survey staff as needed.
- Perform initial QC of field deliverables according to standards and best practices.
- Perform QC checks on-site to verify the quality of work.
Additionally, you will be responsible for daily processing of data, including evaluating accuracy and sufficiency, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, professional, and industry standards related to boundary calculations, legal descriptions, etc.
What You Bring to SAM
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Geomatics Technician who possesses strong computer and technical skills, with proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, or similar applications.
Proficiency in technical math, including geometry and trigonometry, is also a plus.
