We are a venture of Samaritan Community Center which is a grace-driven nonprofit that serves the hurting and hungry of Northwest Arkansas with dignity and compassion. Over the last 19 years, Samaritan has grown to include multiple feeding and health programs at four locations in Rogers and Springdale.
Retail Employee-Processor Job Details:
The Processor sorts, processes, prices, and stocks merchandise such as furniture, home goods, appliances, or apparel to be sold at the Rogers and Springdale Samaritan Shop locations.
Proceeds from donated items sold at our Samaritan Shops, such as furniture, apparel, accessories, home goods, etc., fund our feeding and health programs that help those in need in NWA through our Samaritan Community Center locations in Rogers and Springdale.
To succeed in this role, you should:
- Sort incoming donation items determining whether they are sellable or recycled.
- Hang, steam, and price merchandise to be sold.
- Stock processed merchandise in the designated department on the sales floor.
- Arrange merchandise and displays in departments when stocking to entice and appeal to customers.
- Change or rotate merchandise and displays to reflect changes in inventory or promotion as instructed by management.
- Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices.
- Greet customers and answer any questions regarding store policies, current sales, or merchandise.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
