The Role
The Director, Talent Acquisition is responsible for the management of day-to-day talent acquisition functions and long-and short-term planning, implementation and sustainability of recruitment technology, monitoring productivity and effectiveness, producing routine reports, ensuring internal customer service and a positive candidate experience and compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to talent acquisition. This work is carried out in support of the mission and goals of Samaritan Daytop Village
Responsibilities
What You Will Do
Oversight, Management & Collaboration
- Provide support and guidance to all staff regarding Talent Acquisition processes.
- Supervise assigned Talent Acquisition staff, providing guidance and motivation.
- Continuously seek to improve the quality of Talent Acquisition outcomes and contributions to the organization.
- Recommend methods and approaches to Talent Acquisition and other related HR functions that result in streamlined processes, increased efficiencies and the delivery of information, tools & resources to staff.
Talent Acquisition
- Ensure efficient processing of Talent Acquisition processes including, but not limited to advertising, screening and partnering with on-boarding.
- Drive rigor around Talent Acquisition processes focusing on continuous improvements to ensure we have a consistently positive experience for candidates, hiring managers and hiring teams.
- Ensure sourcing of top prospects for open roles; proactively identify creative approaches to improve response rates and candidate quality.
- Ensure Talent Acquisition team partners with hiring managers to effectively deliver results: use a data-driven approach to provide expertise on hiring and align on expectations.
Training & Development
- Oversee the coordination of trainings related to Talent Acquisition and collaborate on the development of HR trainings in other HR functional areas as appropriate.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of trainings and make recommendations to improve content, delivery, etc.
Reporting, Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Oversee and produce routine and as necessary, external and/or internal requests for reports related to Talent Acquisition.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and regulatory laws and/or requirements in Talent Acquisition function.
- Use qualitative and quantitative data to develop plans to identify and drive productivity improvements that enable SDV to achieve hiring goals more efficiently.
Qualifications
Who You Will Be
- Someone with a bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
- 5 years of experience leading talent acquisition in a mid-sized organization (1000 employees).
- 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Experience in designing, implementing and analyzing systems and processes.
- Demonstrated ability to produce reports and track metrics.
- Ability to balance shifting priorities and keep track of multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Track record gaining trusting and establishing credibility.
- Team player with sensitivity to cultural and personal diversity.
