What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Room Assistant (Part Time) position at Samaritan Health?
Have you worked as a CNA, HHA, Nurse Aid or EMT? Can you work in a fast paced environment? Samaritan is looking for Emergency Room Assistants. The ideal person will be EMT certified OR have worked in a fast paced nurse aid position in the last 3 years.
· 12 hour shifts available
· · Starting rate of pay is $16.45; experience pay added with 1 year’s experience
· Shift differential of $1.50 for overnights
· Start earning PTO from first day of employment
High school level of knowledge. Previous experience or graduated from a Nursing Assistant or EMT program preferred.
Minimum License Requirement : BLS certification required or obtained within 3 months of hire or transfer.
Licensing: Proof of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification from an approved institution or training program preferred.
Minimum Experience Requirement:
Unless otherwise indicated, one year of current experience within the last three years in a comparable job classification required.. Works effectively with others, possess tact, discretion and diplomacy. Ability to work under stress and complete duties, sometimes with numerous interruptions. Must be able to communicate information to supervisor and co- workers. Must be familiar with equipment used to move patients and take vital signs. Ability to understand printed health related material. Completion of hospital based Internship which includes coursework and clinical time up to 6 weeks along with proficiencies demonstrated in competencies for phlebotomy and EKG.
