Histotechnician Eligible for Sign On Bonus and Relocation Assistance Pay Range: $28.38 - $38.67 The base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. Shift differentials have been included in the range. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity and contracts. - Education: Bachelor of Science in medical technology, biology, chemistry or HTL certification from recognized agency.
- License requirement: Histotechnician AAS NY State license required.
- Qualified candidate will assume responsibility for the processing, embedding, cutting and staining of surgical and autopsy tissue, and for preparation and staining of cytopathology specimens according to established policies and procedures for Pathologist's examination and interpretation.
- Qualified candidate will be responsible for the correct management of the patient's body tissue which includes preparing microscopic sections for diagnosis by Pathologist as well as documentation and maintenance of supplies and equipment. Histologist will perform specialized, selective techniques required for diagnostic purposes and participate in the Quality Assurance program.
