What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Therapist Per Diem position at Samaritan Health?
Pay Range: $37.63 - $62.10
The base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. Shift differentials have been included in the range. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity and contracts.
Job Summary
- Performs initial evaluations and re-evaluations. Plans and implements an occupational therapy program for medically referred patients, residents, or registrants.
- May assist with the overall management of the department.
- Supervises support staff.
Minimum Education Requirement:
- Graduation from a Occupational Therapy education program, with a minimum of a BS in Occupational Therapy.
- Successful completion of all Occupational Therapy student internships.
- Minimum Experience Requirement:
- Demonstrates ability to effectively interact with all age groups to which service is provided.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and public relations skills.
- Must have an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient’s / resident’s / registrant’s age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care.
Minimum License Requirement:
- New York State licensure and registration or eligible.
- BLS certification required at time of hire, or within 3 months of hire date.
