Summary
To serve the staff members of Samaritan Ministries International (SMI) by designing, developing and delivering learning and development solutions. Work with leaders to assess needs and develop training strategies and programs that enhance job skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the onboarding process for all new employees
- Coordinate with HR, department leaders and trainers and IT to help determine start dates and schedule Onboarding for all new staff members and ensure that new staff have equipment, accounts, workspace, and a department onboarding plan.
- Conduct full Onboarding in person or remote - provide welcoming environment, resources, introduction to SMI culture, overview of Samaritan Programs, and assist in computer log-in and account access.
- Post-Onboarding - Assign relevant SMI online lessons, serve as a resource for questions and connection, conduct a post-onboarding survey and hold 60-day follow up meetings with all new staff.
- Keep all onboarding content up to date and relevant and keep up to date with all internal processes that affect new staff.
- Design, develop, and deliver (when requested) learning courses and training solutions for SMI staff.
- Select the delivery method appropriate for the content and audience (coaching, classroom, self-study, computer based, etc.)
- Proactively identify new content and resources to improve onboarding, communication, and training
- Assist in implementing leadership development initiatives and programs
- Maintain LMS (Lessonly) for the ministry, including creating and upholding ministry standards for lessons, updating roster, encouraging use of the LMS as appropriate, and coaching and assisting Creators, and Managers, and staff with using the LMS.
- Promote usage of Linked In Learning by creating and updating SMI collections and administering licenses for users based on demand.
- Maintain regular contact with vendor representatives from each platform to ensure that we are using each to its fullest capacity and creating the most value for our staff members.
- Assist in creating and implementing the Staff Development Portfolio of opportunities
- Assist with alignment project and staff development projects as requested
- Assist with monitoring training budgets as request
- Assist with job description updates and changes
- Assist with the creation and editing of HR newsletter
Qualifications and Experience
- Two-year degree from an accredited university or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- ATD Training and Facilitating Certification or similar preferred
- Certification in coaching, personality assessments preferred
- Knowledge of SMI Internal Policies and Procedures
- Knowledge of SMI Programs and Guidelines
- Knowledge of SMI facilities, organizational structure, department and job functions
- Knowledge of IT processes related to new staff and account creation
- Knowledge of HR Interviewing and Hiring processes (Basic)
- Ability to facilitate meetings and groups
- Training delivery practices and techniques
- Instructional Design methodology (ADDIE model) and Adult Learning Theory (Intermediate)

Additional Information
- Tasks are normally conducted in a regular office environment, requiring use of computer and mouse and other standard office equipment. Staff usually remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.

- Staff may be required to travel and have a valid driver's license
