The Member Retention Specialist maintains member focus and improves the member experience. This involves determining member needs, responding to inquiries, resolving concerns, and promoting programs and services.

Key Responsibilities
Determine member needs and promote the best-suited program and servicesMaintain the highest-level of ethics and member focusField inbound member calls and resolve member care concernsRespond to member inquiries with clarity and knowledge of programs and servicesMaintain accurate member records and prepare account summaries for each member you contact within our CRMCorrespond with other departments to assist with member issuesProvide members with additional information about new programs and servicesDeliver high member satisfaction and continuously improve member experiencePromote member service values by being courteous, professional and prompt in all member interactionsPartner with other lines of business with member feedback to help deliver on an improved product and member experienceQualifications and Experience

Tasks are normally conducted in a regular office environment, requiring use of computer, mouse, drawing tablet, and other standard office equipment. Staff usually remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.Staff will observe safety principles while performing the duties of the position.Staff may be required to travel and have a valid driver's license.May need to lift and move items up to 35 lbs on occasion.This position requires an active commitment to the mission and values of SMI.
