What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver position at Samaritan Village?
Position Overview
Starting rate is $16.75/hour! Differentials: PM shift earns an extra $0.50/hour and NOC earns an extra $1.00/hour. 4 on 2 off rotating schedule working 3p-11:30p.
Our caregivers are passionate about providing friendly, quality, and attentive service to our residents and assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, preparing meals, and performing light housekeeping. Growth opportunities are available including full time, med tech, and floor lead/shift lead roles!
Skills and abilities needed to be a Caregiver include:
- Good judgment and ability to recognize early signs of illness and/or the need for a higher level of care.
- Ability to perform a broad range of simultaneous duties.
- Great communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a team of dedicated employees across the Samaritan Village campus.
- Ability to effectively resolve conflict.
- Ability to work independently.
Requirements
Must be available to work one Saturday or Saturday of each Pay Period. Candidates are required to have or obtain a First Aid Certificate and pass a pre-employment DOJ/FBI criminal record clearance, TB test, drug-screen, and employment history/professional reference verification, must be 18 years of age or older and fluent in English.
