As a Bereavement Counselor, you will be responsible for providing individual and group grief support for the bereaved of hospice patients. This part-time opportunity offers $25- $36 per hour based on experience!

What You’ll Do:
- Provide grief support and education to bereaved hospice family members/caregivers of patients for 13 months post-death.
- Provide pre-death bereavement care to patient/family as appropriate and/or requested by the patient/family or Interdisciplinary Team, if applicable.
- Serve as a collaborative member of and resource to the Interdisciplinary Care Team by participating in consultations and offering grief education and support to staff, volunteers and community partners both in relation to patient/family care and professional coping.
- Facilitate grief group counseling, as appropriate to group assignments.
- Afternoon/evening hours required.
What You’ll Bring to Our Team:
- 5 years of counseling experience, preferably in a medical/hospital/hospice setting or related experiences.
- Master’s degree in social work, counseling, creative arts or related field preferred, licensure not required.
- Grief Training or certification in specific grief, thanatology, bereavement counseling approach is a plus.
- NJ driver’s license and insurance coverage required.
- Bilingual is a plus!
