What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver position at Samaritans At Last, LLC?
Overview:
We are seeking Caring individuals to join our family, at Samaritans At Last. As a Caregiver, you will provide essential assistance to individuals in need of support with daily activities and personal care. Looking to fill 2-3 (12hour) shifts on the weekends. Potential weekday fill in as needed. Reliable transportation is A Must!!! Client uses oxygen so non-smoking individual preferred. Client has cat in the home. We are looking for serious individuals to care for our clients.
Schedule:
-We are looking to fill more than one position.
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
-Client needs assistance with cat duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide medication reminders if needed
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Help clients with mobility issues and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs
- Support individuals with dementia care or other illnesses
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
Requirements:
- Prior experience in caregiving or related fields preferred
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and demonstrate empathy
- Proficiency in assisting with ADLs
- Capability to handle physical demands including heavy lifting and assisting with mobility
- Familiarity with social work systems and protocols for providing quality care
