Key Responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms for patient examinations by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
- Position patients and equipment, explain procedures, and ensure patients' comfort during the scanning process.
- Enter commands and data into the computer to document and specify scan sequences, monitoring video displays to adjust density or contrast as needed.
- Monitor patients during examinations, ensuring their safety and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation.
- Produce diagnostic images, report important information to the physician, and update patients' records.
- Organize daily procedure schedules for emergencies and monitor radiographic supplies to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Perform administrative tasks such as answering technical questions, scheduling appointments, and offering pre-procedure advice.
- Conduct scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
