Travel MRI Technologist Job Description
Samba Care is seeking a skilled travel MRI Technologist for a dynamic opportunity in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare examination rooms for patient examinations, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, high-quality images.
- Position patients and equipment, explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort throughout the examination process.
- Insert commands and data into the computer system to document and specify scan sequences, and monitor video displays to adjust density or contrast levels.
- Monitor patients during examinations, prioritizing their safety and adhering to protocols to minimize radiation exposure.
- Produce accurate diagnostic images, communicate critical information to physicians, and update patient records accordingly.
- Organize daily procedure schedules, respond to emergencies, and manage radiographic supplies.
- Perform administrative tasks, including answering technical questions, scheduling appointments, and providing pre-procedure guidance.
- Maintain and repair radiographic equipment, performing scheduled maintenance and addressing emergency repairs as needed.
Key Requirements:
- Experience as an MRI Technologist with a strong background in radiography.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week, with flexibility to adapt to changing schedules.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient care and satisfaction.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software used in radiology settings.
- Physical stamina to perform job duties, including standing, lifting, and moving patients and equipment.
