Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician oversees maintenance work and assists in the performance of their job duties such as responding to inquiries, resolving issues or concerns. The Maintenance Technician has the primary objective of driving the vision for company and customer standards. Maintenance Technician is accountable for shaping and delivering the business’s production in order to drive the overall performance of the department. The Maintenance Technician balances company and customer demands with delivery and execution. The Maintenance Technician oversees cost effectiveness, productivity, and the provision of customer demands that nurture continuous improvement. A successful technician has a varied maintenance and contractor-style skillset and can communicate effectively with managers, contractors, staff, and guests. Maintenance technicians protect the business, the building, and its occupants by keeping it safe and operating at its best.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
· Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
· Provide leadership and direction to the entire department.
· Monitor and resolve issues.
· Managing both internal and external relationships on behalf of the department.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Manage direct reports.
· Organize and review weekly progress.
· Skills to work autonomously on a variety of day-to-day projects and maintenance items.
· Work safely with proper personal protective equipment.
· Occasional emergency maintenance call.
· Handling and balancing time between maintenance projects as assigned.
· Developing cost-effective and creative solutions to regular maintenance issues.
· Maintain and do regular rounds through buildings to make sure all common spaces, rooms, outdoor spaces, and bathrooms are in good working order.
· Follow proper health and safety protocols for chemical storage.
· Move, lift, and re-arrange furniture and bunk beds as needed.
· Notify management of any suspicious activity or guests.
· Assists with errands or may require local hardware stores shopping trips.
· Ensure there are no leaks and no damage and communicate with managers promptly about any issues found.
· Making sure inventory is stocked and able to compile supply lists for order or purchase and inform manager.
· Troubleshooting appliances and electronic equipment as needed.
· Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changes.
· Driven and self-motivated.
· Maintain customer privacy, behave with open-mindedness and cultural sensitivity.
· Contributes to long- and short-form integration proposals and topline concepts.
· Support the team on all integrations and proposals.
· Patience and the ability to maintain a professional demeanor.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
