Description
This position will tutor student-athletes in various subjects, according to department policy and NCAA rules.
Job Duties
- Provide tutoring on a regularly scheduled basis to a caseload of assigned student-athletes.
- Tutor student-athletes in either one-on-one or in small group sessions.
- Be consistently available to tutor throughout the semester including during Samford Final Exam week.
- Complete specific documentation regarding each tutoring session held through a system called Teamworks Academics.
- Attend required Academic Enhancement Center (AEC) beginning of semester training sessions.
- Abide by all policies of the AEC.
- Operate with academic integrity and abide by NCAA, Samford, and Southern Conference rules.
- Develop and maintain strong rapport with AEC staff by communicating in-person and via email regarding student-athletes' academic progress, tutoring procedures, and related issues.
