Performs nutrition assessments, creates nutrition therapy plans and provides nutrition education for individuals and / or groups.

- EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS
- Current unencumbered Oregon Dietetic Licensure / Registered Dietitian through the CDR or RD eligible. If RD eligible, must obtain Registered Dietitian and Oregon Dietitian License within six (6) months from date of hire.
- Two (2) years recent experience as clinical dietitian and outpatient counseling dietitian in a hospital preferred.

- Communication / Community Relations : Effective written and oral communication skills to explain complex issues, exchange information between team members, and tactfully discuss quality issues. Ability to perform group presentations and listen to and understand complex information and ideas. Ability to communicate to people internal and external to the organization and to represent the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources.
- Medicine : Possess the skills and knowledge needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and / or behavioral conditions. Ability to recognize symptoms, understand drug properties and interactions, and employ treatments and preventive health-care measures.
- Conflict Resolution : Ability to proactively resolve conflicts in a positive and constructive manner. Possess the knowledge and skills to handle complaints, settle disputes, and negotiate with others to reach mutually beneficial decisions.
- Social Perceptiveness : Ability to work with a diverse population from pediatrics to geriatrics. Basic understanding of age-related differences in caring for and communicating with patients and caregivers. Possess personal sensitivity to the needs and experiences of others and a non-judgmental attitude towards persons of differing standards, values, lifestyles, and ages.
- Team Building : Ability to work, function and communicate on a multi-disciplinary team. Possess the knowledge and skills to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.
