Performs the duties of Pharmacist as prescribed by state and federal statutes as well as SHS policies. Prepares and dispenses medication; assesses clinical status of patients (neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics). Provides drug information to the medical team. Educates patients.

- Computer Literacy - Knowledge of electronic equipment, computer hardware and software, including applications and programming. Ability to operate applications, write software, set up functions, enter data, and manipulate and process information.

Basic understanding of age-related differences in caring for and / or communicating with patients and caregivers. - Knowledge of rules and regulations affecting specialty pharmacy. Stays current on rules and regulations.
- Knowledge and training in the specialty disease states. Maintains competence in the area of coverage through continued education.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Home Infusion is staffed by pharmacy staff that are knowledgeable in quality infusion and enteral care of patients receiving care in the home setting.
Current unencumbered Oregon Pharmacist Licensure required.
Healthcare Provider Level BLS required within three (3) months of hire.
Pharmacy experience in the specialty disease states required.
Communication - Effective written and oral communication skills to explain complex issues, exchange information between team members, and tactfully discuss issues. Ability to perform group presentations and listen to and understand complex information and ideas.
Ability to read, understand, translate and enter prescription orders into the pharmacy management system.
