Overview:
The Assembler will put together parts into complete units under the general supervision of the Production Manager and Assembly Lead. This role includes coordination of workflow, performing assembly of special equipment as required, repairing defective equipment, and repairing returned goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine production instructions such as blueprints, process instructions, and setup instructions to determine what products to make.
- Carefully examine equipment for proper assembly and appearance.
- Inspect parts and assemblies, use precision measuring instruments, work moving parts to assure proper operation. Work closely with Quality Control when problems arise.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance. Notify Maintenance promptly of any needed repairs or potential problems.
- Participate as a team member in developing and implementing process and product improvement ideas.
- Assist in training other workers on performing assigned tasks. Learn to perform tasks and upgrade skills to assist in maintaining the flow of products.
- Complete required production records accurately and on a timely basis.
- Keep assigned work area neat and clean and lubricate and clean assigned equipment to keep it in good condition.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school Diploma or Equivalent
- 2 years of manufacturing experience (Assembly or similar position preferred)
- Proficient use of power and hand tools
- Ability to read and understand Bill of Material (BOM) and prints (preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to frequently twist, bend, and stand
- Visual and manual dexterity
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.25 - $19.75 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
