Overview:
Under the direction of the Accounting Supervisor, the Finance Administrator will perform a variety of general accounting tasks and responsibilities to properly capture and record financial transactions in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cost and General Accounting, Bank Reconciliations, Payroll and other assigned duties.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform bank reconciliations along with identifying, investigating and correcting discrepancies.
· Assist and complete assigned duties for month end closings, reporting and GL reconciliations.
· Reconcile Sales and Cost of Sales data between sister companies.
· Payroll and payroll administrative duties.
· Prepare and file state sales tax returns for multiple states.
· Research and correspond with customers regarding collections of past due balances, payment discrepancies, AR invoicing daily, maintenance of customer account information and general customer account questions.
· Crosstrain and assist in backup in other areas of the accounting finance department – including: accounts payable, cash receipts, invoicing.
· Assist in the maintenance and update of the standard cost system, cost rolls and pricing loads.
· Assist with any audits by compiling required information and documentation.
· Perform other accounting administrative duties as required and as needed.
Qualifications:
· Associates Degree in Accounting preferred (will consider equivalent experience).
· Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and staff at various organizational levels
· Effective verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to work both individually and in a team environment
· Organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to work independently & prioritize tasks to always meet deadline
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
