Position Overview
Under the general supervision of the Logistics Manager, the Warehouse Operator generally works from order sheets/tickets, selecting materials/products according to order. The Operator will also stage items and check for accuracy, add-ons, or special instructions. May weigh items, load trucks, package items etc. Overall, the Warehouse Operator works with lead personnel to achieve all manufacturing objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow correct procedures for the receiving, storing, and dispensing of stock.
- Count parts received by either scale count or actual count.
- Place parts in their proper location.
- Fill requisitions, parts lists, and shipping orders by securing the parts or products from the proper locations.
- Record picks and shortages on the pick list and shipping orders.
- Maintain proper records as required.
- Maintain the stock and warehouse area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Operate an industrial truck to transport material to and from various locations as required.
- Fill backorders immediately upon arrival of stock.
- Other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
Qualifications
- High school Diploma or Equivalent (required)
- Forklift certification or experience, particularly with stand-up lifts/ reach trucks (required)
- 2 years of warehouse or distribution center experience (required)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to frequently twist, bend, and stand
- Visual and manual dexterity
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.25 - $19.75 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
