You must have superb verbal andwritten communication skills, and be adept at navigating complex and nuanced data protectionissues in a strategic manner. This is an in-person role and can be based in our Atlanta (GA),Dublin (CA) or Bellevue (WA) locations.ResponsibilitiesDraft, negotiate, and close privacy and data protection agreements with enterprise customers, including customers in highly regulated industries, such as financial services and healthcareWork closely with global sales and partner teams on transactions that drive the company’s revenueSupport commercial attorneys on data protection issues in negotiationsPartner with the security team on security-related issues in negotiationsWork well in a fast-paced, dynamic work environmentMaintain understanding of new and evolving data protection regulationsDevelop and deliver training on data protection issues and contract templatesProvide sound advice and guidance on legal and business-related issues to senior business leadersSupport continuous improvements of templates, policies and processes to help streamline, simplify and automate the contracting processesRequirements7 years of commercial legal experience, preferably in-house with a successful, high-growth enterprise SaaS company, with 3 years emphasis on privacy and / or securityExcellent negotiation skills with large enterprise customersKnowledge of worldwide data protection regulations, including GDPR and HIPAAKnowledge of financial services regulations, including GLBA and 23 NYCRR 500Working knowledge of SaaS industry cybersecurity concepts and security certificationsExceptional organizational, project management, and prioritization skillsThe ability to think and execute both strategically and tacticallyOutstanding written and oral communications skillsExperience scaling sales and legal processes and policies for a rapidly growing organizationThe ability to work with a wide variety of people, at all levels in the organization, in a fast-paced environmentService-oriented, professional and strong integrityEvery Snowflake employee is expected to follow the company’s confidentiality and security standards for handling sensitive data.
