What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pool Attendant position at Samoset Resort?
Maintains appearance of Outdoor Pool and Hot Tub through monitoring of water chemistry and regular cleaning. Monitors access to the outdoor pool, provides clean towels and bracelets to all guests and maintains a clean, safe and customer friendly atmosphere for the surrounding recreational amenities. Supports all outdoor pool usage policies. All associates are expected to promote and uphold the Samoset Standards of Excellence; Smile, Assume responsibility, Maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance, Own every guest inquiry, Speak in a professional manner, Exceed guests’ expectations and Take pride in your work and in the resort.
Responsibilities:
Maintains regular cleanliness of outdoor pool and hot tub water through vacuuming, skimming or other needed methods.
Tests pool and spa chemicals; logs results and adjusts chemistry as needed. Reports any discrepancies or problems to the Health Club Manager on Duty or Engineering.
Ensures pool users follow specified pool and spa rules.
Signs in guests to the outdoor pool by checking name on current rooming list and providing bracelets.
Does continuous, multiple walk thru’s on deck to pick up trash, towels, straighten chairs, etc.
Provides each guest of the outdoor pool with a clean towel. Transport soiled towels to laundry and restock clean towels as needed.
Sets up and maintains other outdoor recreational amenities’ to include; croquet, playground, tennis courts, etc.
Rolls tennis courts after rainstorms.
Transports trash from outdoor area to dumpster daily.
Assists in all general maintenance issues at the outdoor pool area.
Provides general assistance to Health Club operations as necessary.
