We are seeking a hardworking and dependable Material Handling Specialist to join our team. This role involves handling, loading, and unloading lumber and other building materials, maintaining an organized yard, and assisting customers as needed. The ideal candidate has experience working in a lumber yard, warehouse, or construction environment and is comfortable operating forklifts and other equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload lumber and building materials from trucks, or storage areas
- Organize and maintain inventory in the lumber yard
- Assist customers with material selection, loading, and inquiries
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment
- Inspect materials for quality and report damaged or defective products
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment
- Keep the yard clean and free from hazards
- Work as part of a team to complete daily tasks efficiently
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
