Description
Sample Supports is actively seeking energetic and professional Respite Provider in the Northern Colorado area to provide regularly scheduled support to a young man living with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Services are provided on a regularly scheduled basis to provide regular caregiver breaks. Respite may be provided in the individual’s home/private place of residence or the private residence of a respite provider. Respite providers receive competitive payments to ensure that they are compensated for the difficulty of care required in supporting the placement. We over-communicate to ensure your unique needs as a provider are included in all individual services plans while also ensuring the best fit for the individual in services.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Maintain Medical Records and administer medicine for the individual
- Assist patients with daily activities
- Meet the needs as defined by the client’s service plan.
- Community access services that explore community services available to all people, natural supports available to the participant, and develop methods to access additional services/supports/activities needed by the participant.
- Travel services may include providing, arranging, transporting, or accompanying the participant to services and supports identified in the Service Plan.
- Supervision services which ensure the health and welfare of the participant and/or utilizing technology for the same purpose.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds.
- Must have to have dependable and reliable transportation with the ability to safely transport
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass background check
- Preferred knowledge and understanding of developmental disabilities, mental health, and trauma
- Must be competent and willing to perform Non-Violent Crisis Intervention physical managements as trained
- Job responsibilities include reporting any suspected maltreatment, abuse, neglect, or exploitation of an at risk individual. (M/A/N/E) Each position is considered a mandatory reporter.
Compensation: Compensation varies depending on level of support the individual needs and length of respite being provided.
