SALARY: Starting salary $42,444.00/year with Benefits Package
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Main duties include second party review of eligibility casework performed by Income Maintenance Caseworker II level positions in the Family and Children Medicaid Unit, assisting with staff training and handling supervisory tasks as needed. This position may also carry a partial/specialized caseload.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Thorough knowledge of income maintenance program as assigned. Considerable knowledge of all agency and community programs and services which could affect the client/applicant. General knowledge of all income maintenance programs. Good mathematical reasoning and computational skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret a variety of regulations, policies and procedures of varying complexity. Ability to work independently and prioritize work. Ability to instruct and evaluate the work of lower level employees. Ability to train employees on new and existing rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Ability to understand customer needs. Ability to perform caseworker functions within structured time frames
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Two years of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
PREFERENCE MAY BE GIVEN TO THOSE WITH BI-LINGUAL SKILLS
