Sampson Regional Medical Center is hiring a Health Information Management Analyst to join the HIM team!
Description:
The selected candidate will perform quantitative analysis on discharged inpatients, same day surgery, and observation charts regarding the electronic medical records. Assigns deficiencies in the Meditech system to be completed by physicians and other health care professionals. Responsible for the retention, retrieval, and maintenance of patient health information in all formats. Expedites priority release of information to achieve an optimal patient and/or provider satisfactions. The employee must be able to follow directions and to perform work according to the department standards.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree in Health Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- Previous Health Information/Medical Office experience preferred.
- Experience with an electronic and/or hybrid health information system preferred.
- Knowledge of RAC, MAC, MIC, CERT and all other payer, state, and federal requirements for complying with requests for information preferred.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships and communication with medical staff, and other members of the health care team.
- Ability to read, comprehend and relay regulatory requirements, guidelines and information in order to ensure compliance with such information.
- Must have good computer skills including Microsoft Windows products.
Hours:
This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday, 8AM - 4:30PM. Other hours may be required for the effective operation of the department.
