Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assemble, line, and pad shipping boxes.
- Pack upholstered furniture into shipping boxes and apply product label to the boxes.
- Seal shipping boxes using box stapler and tape gun or feed into automatic tape machine.
- Offload sealed boxes from packing line onto pallets.
- Remove defective products or materials, placing them in specified areas.
Requirements:
Must be knowledgeable in packing processes.
- Must have ability to recognize parts and style numbers.
- English required for reading tickets and instructions.
- Must be able to understand and follow packing specifications.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds, bend over repeatedly, and stand for the duration of the shift.
- Able to work independently with little supervision.
- Time management skills to complete work within given deadlines.
- Detail oriented with a focus on quality.
Physical Demands:
- This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee may have to lift and/or move items between 5 and 50 pounds.
