JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
Under general direction from the Director of Human Resources the Payroll Administrator is responsible for completing all tasks necessary to accomplish the organization’s payroll processing objectives, including relationships with external auditors, state and federal agencies. The majority of the time is spent on a weekly basis of planning, coordinating and managing the functions of the payroll department and managing the ADP software.
Essential Functions
- Process bi-weekly and weekly payroll and audit of all payroll records for a 200 plus employees and multi-divisions in the organization
- Complete commission payroll for sales representatives
- Exporting payroll from time management system and importing into HRIS.
- Prepare 401K funding files
- Review and approve all invoices related to payroll or that is stored in ADP
- Prepare manual payroll checks request for employees when necessary
- Review form W-4 for payroll tax setup and deductions
- Review timecard punch report of hourly employees
- Process payroll and benefit deductions for employees
- Maintain and document all payroll records, including new hires and terminations
- Reconcile general ledger with regards to payroll transactions
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns
- Create reports as needed or as required for management, benefits vendors, etc.
- Stay current with the guidance on taxation of salaries and benefits in various states
- Participate in payroll process improvement and implementation of payroll service
- Assist with the payroll audit
- Editing time transaction i.e. any missing or incorrect punches
- Updating and maintaining employee information in time clock system
- Train new hires on the use of ADP

environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as
computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending as necessary.
