Title: Product Development – CAD Tech
Basic Function: Under the direction of the Department Manager, this individual is responsible for the creation of products with new or different characteristics that offer new or additional benefits to the customer.
Primary responsibilities:
- Work closely with manager to develop prototypes for products.
- Work with PD manager to develop new styles and make improvements on existing styles.
- Participate in quality assurance process.
- Participate in creating, launching, or implementing new products.
- Assist in documenting spec sheets for parts and materials (springs, webbing, poly, etc.)
- Work with product management team to ensure process is efficient.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to execute product development plan.
- Import and setup models, variants, and match points to Lectra.
- Learn new Morgan software and cutting machine operation.
- Work closely with the cutting department and develop a working relationship.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years Lectra experience preferred.
- Match and flow cutting experience a plus.
- Formaris experience preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel.
- Able to handle customer conflict with diplomacy while keeping focus on assertiveness and results.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be organized, analytical, and possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must possess the ability to work well individually or as a member of department team. High School Diploma, college preferred.
