Stager/Packer
General Job Description:
This position is responsible for marrying up fabric or leather covers with frames, poly kits, cushions & backs, receiving in supplies and/or packing finished cushions/backs into boxes for shipping while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Universal’s policies and procedures.
Job Duties:
Pull covers out of bins by schedule dates.
Stage covers with frames/poly/cushion/backs to send to cushion fill/upholstery.
Receive in supplies using an RF scan gun.
Move raw frames from one area to another.
Pack finished cushions/backs into boxes for shipment and move those boxes (with a hand truck) to a shipping area.
Help unload boxes from delivery trucks (with hand trucks).
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Job Requirements:
Previous work experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.
Ability to meet production goals.
Must be able to lift (with a hand truck) up to 125lbs.
Must have effective communications skills and be able to work in a team
