What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Chain Planner position at Samson Marketing?
Overall Purpose: Responsible for demand, inventory and replenishment planning necessary to meet the demands of both direct container and warehouse customers.
Essential Duties:
Responsible for organizing and facilitating monthly forecast and production planning meetings for key managers. Develop and maintain forecasts for all Finished Good SKU’s - utilizing major customer input where appropriate. Generate monthly forecast reporting. Work within the inventory plan parameters to develop a monthly production plan. Release POs to factories as necessary to achieve established inventory and service goals. Monitor and maintain master schedule dates in Oracle. Ensure Inventory synchronization with Far East system. Manage purchase orders to reflect the actual schedule of factories and expedite production if necessary. Ensure item master accuracy. Develop and manage supply chain metrics to evaluate performance alignment with Company mission.
Other Duties:
Assist with training new and existing employees, closeout process, and domestic purchasing.
Qualification Requirements:
College Degree in Business or Operation management or 5-10 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning and Inventor. Strong data management skills are required. Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, verbal and written communications skills. Experience with Demand Solutions and Oracle is highly desirable. Strong organizational and priority management skills. APICS certification is preferred or willingness to earn certification. Experience with Asian factories/sourcing a plus.
