Job Description:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support financial operations and ensure the success of ongoing projects. Reporting directly to the Field Administration Manager, the Accounting Assistant will be responsible for managing financial records, vendor payments, and various accounting tasks while ensuring compliance with company policies and financial standards.
Your duties will include:
1. Vendor Payment Management:
- Oversee payments for all vendors, including regular and irregular engagements.
- Maintain and update vendor payment accounts and vendor lists.
- Register vendor accounts in the company system for payment processing.
- Ensure payments align with contract terms and internal company standards.
- Ensure timely payments to maintain strong vendor relationships and avoid delays.
2. Accounts Payable Management:
- Process daily and weekly accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Document all payments in accordance with company policies.
3. Project Expense/Cost Analysis:
- Collaborate with managers to analyze project expenses and budget-to-actual reports.
- Interpret financial data to prepare site expense analyses, ensuring accurate reporting.
- Proactively address potential cost overruns.
4. Financial Record Maintenance:
- Maintain detailed and organized financial records for audits and tax purposes.
5. Receipt Processing for Key Personnel:
- Manage receipt processing for budget usage assigned to key personnel, such as Project Managers.
- Ensure compliance with company policies in expense documentation and review.
6. Month/Quarter/Year-End Close Process:
- Assist in close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
7. Additional Duties:
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Field Administration Manager, including administrative and general affairs associated with daily office operations.
Your qualifications are as follows:
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. legally without visa sponsorship.
- Native-level bilingual proficiency in Korean and English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- 1–3 years of accounting and hands-on finance operation experience (experience in a Korean company is a plus).
- Ability to handle confidential and non-routine information professionally.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills for interactions at all organizational levels.
- Analytical ability to gather, summarize, and interpret data for reporting and problem-solving.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and SAP.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to finding improvements, while also being a strong team player.
- Exceptional attention to detail, multitasking ability, and time management skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines.
- Experience with construction projects exceeding $50M.
- Experience in oil & gas or semiconductor plants.
- International and multi-cultural experience is a plus.
- Ability to commute to and from the field office without difficulty.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed for job performance.
